You are welcome here! God is calling His people to kingdom building and kingdom living. In fulling the mandate of Christ our church will be the training ground and launching pad for believers to go out and serve in the communities impacting the lives of people for Christ.
Open Arms Christian Ministries International Inc. was birth by God through Pastor Nikisha Wimberly whom God has called to come out from the four walls, to train and equip like minded individuals to fulfill the mandate of Christ in reaching the loss and serving the communities. We are the church extension of Open Arms Transitional Housing and Sanctuary A Not-for-profit organization focused on helping families in crisis.
Our church is so named because The LORD is making a distinction between the traditional church and Open Arms Christian Ministries. The vision given of OACM is to move beyond the building and function within the communities serving humanity on many levels. In Mark 10:46 we read the words of Christ saying, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Our vision is to have many outreaches giving the church body various opportunities to serve humanity. The church, which is the body of believers, will be equipped for service and battle for righteousness in a local place where members will use their area of strengths to serve the community, the nation, and the world. The mandate of the great commission to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. As we position ourselves outside the four walls of the church and infuse ourselves into the communities, the equipped church body will then be able to fulfill the mandates of Christ according to Mark 16: 15-20 and Isaiah 61: 1-3.
Open Arms is a Christian ministry and professes the One True God Elohim and the God Head comprised of Father, Son: Jesus the Christ and The Holy Spirit Who is the Seal of God upon those who believe. Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church and the Holy Spirit is its Chief Commander from whom all direction and assignment must originate this ensures a constant, relevant purpose throughout the ministry.
It is the goal of the Founder and Pastor to create a working network of believers who will use their God-given gifts to build the kingdom of God doing things that help the people of our communities while drawing them closer to Elohim. The goals and mandates of this OACM is to provide food services, Childcare services, schooling, orphanages, shelters, and transitional housing in service to our communities, locally and globally. Our childcare services and schooling will allow parents to join the workforce while their children receive biblical foundational teachings and a solid education void of secular viewpoints. In taking care of the orphans, providing shelters and transitional housing, we will live in accordance with Isaiah 58 a fast that is pleasing to the LORD. Our vision is to acquire multi-functional properties, including land for growing produce, to use in the fulfillment of these goals and mandates and not just a building for preaching. Our focus is to repair and restore the breach between Elohim and a secular world thereby raising up generations who will know Elohim.
Many people in our community struggle to make ends meet. Our food pantry is growing with an abundance of food and volunteers reaching an expanded range of people. The cost of feeding a family often prevents them from living a quality lifestyle, O.A.C.M is forging partnerships with the local food banks and neighboring supermarkets to provide fresh food to any and all that will receive it, free of charge.
Food Pantry is open every Saturday from 10:30 am - 12 pm; located @ 23 West Center St, Beacon, NY.
We worship Jehovah Elohim in Spirit and in Truth. Our anointed Sabbath Day worship service starts at 7PM Friday evenings. We keep the sabbath day holy as we gather to remember, rest, worship and do good things. We are a bible believing church that challenges believers to fulfill the call of God for their lives. Our bible study is on Wednesday's where individuals can have their questions answered as we search and study the Word of God together.
Open Arms has been in existence since February of 2015. We have assisted many families in their difficult times, we have assisted with them getting back on their feet after losing everything. With the help of many community resources, like the department of social services, United Way, Astor, Care Net, and many others, We have been successful with our Mission. The success stories that we have received over the years encourages us to keep moving forward.
